Merry Widow sunset

Here are some picks from the old mine site on Merry Widow mountain that is over 100 years old now, if you want to learn about the site check this link and look at history for some more info http://www.grandeportage.com/i/pdf/MW%20_Report200509.pdf . We finally got some time away from the kids and took the UTV up the mountain for some adventure and just happen to capture this amazing sunset. The first pic is a 9 picture HDR panorama, 3 exposure values for 3 separate frames, each frame shot 30° offset from the last on the tripod if that makes sense to you. The second is just a plain HDR 3 exposure value overlap to show the off an extreme dynamic range of lighting offered by mother nature herself absolutely no light pollution out here. Light room was used to pull out more color but honestly the originals are not that far off from these it was a beautiful night. Hope you enjoy looking at these as much as I did shooting them.

  3. I also need to figure out the math on how wide my lens is shooting in degrees..... my tripod has 360 degree markings so if I zero it out how many degrees can I turn for the next frame. Im going to do some figuring just havent got around to it lol. I just geussed 30 degrees with a 35mm or 52.5 equivalent it would work and it did.
