A lonesome bear cub
Here is a little baby black bear we found on the side of the road rite past Georgie lake one day, it seems as though mom was nowhere to be found but I stayed my distance anyways (you never know). We called the conservation officer after a long time in hopes that someone could help it (by this point I assumed mom was dead or gone) but life is tough out there and poor little cub had to make it on its own that day. As far as the exposure I was using my cheap tamron 70-300mm zoom that is soooo hard to take pictures with only having up to f 5.6 and no vibration reduction and the slowest focus motor you have ever seen hands down. So I proceeded to get as steady as I could opened the f stop as wide as i could, turned my iso to about 400 for a quicker exposure, zoomed to 155mm for the first and 200mm for the second, then miraculously it focused (usually have to use manual with this lens) and voila a few half decent photos were born.

Tiny little fellow, barely more than a fur puff with ears and claws.
ReplyDeleteNice crisp captures especially considering the stellar lens you were working with!
Ps still trying to figure out why you would include the Bower wireless release with your list of camera gear... (go read your list again) :)
Deletewow shitter release and wireless at that!
DeleteHaha i know this lens is the worst thing ever, never ever recommend to anyone not only is it incredibly slow in focus speed and aperture the vignetting is soo bad unless you stop to like f7 and above it makes anything but sunny day shooting almost impossible and these pics are about as good as it gets unless you tripod it and even then not much crisper.
DeleteBUT the way the blades are designed it gives off amazing bokeh affects and blur if thats what your going for even at higher f stops
